With a very sore back, a boyfriend who's waiting for my text messages and good morning (afternoon) greetings and a mouthful of chocolates, I am writing about our family trip to Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Olongapo City last Saturday, Feb. 02, 2008.
The night before, I was wondering what was in store for me since this will be my first time (ever!) to go to Subic. The last time they went (my family), they saw the safari, the dolphins and everything Subic has to offer. Since this trip was for 2 days only, I was wondering what Subic has to offer to us this time.
We left the house at 12am (original schedule 10am) since we had to bring NOLA (the golden ret) to the dog trainer (which I will tell you about some other time) and didn't anticipate on buying 2 new dogs (Midnight-a doberman, 22 days old & Hershey-a Labrador Retriever, 1 year old) and sightseeing (parang) in Mabalakat. Anyway, we were all excited as we boarded the Nissan Pick-up my ate owns, with our kanya-kanyang baon, and with the Van that "Pare" (of ate) and his family trailing behind us. All in all, I think, we were 16. Give or take.

I really had no idea that before the end of this trip, I would be amazed at how many SK Signages that welcome travelers had been erected.

Anyway...
Some of the sights that we saw on our way to Subic.

See those mountains back there? You'll see them later, up-close.

A very beautiful and healthy tree

It's like we're going to Baguio, roads are zig-zagged and the surrounding rice fields are slowly being covered by giant mountains on each of our side.

We were going fast enough for me not to notice where the heck we are.

Ate told me that this mountain was called "Susu ning Dalaga"
Kapampangan for A LAdy's Breast.
Sure doest look like a breast to me...

Some more sights of the mountains...

"Toto, I think we're not in Kansas anymore..."

The Kids getting rowdier and rowdier by the minute...
Back: Daniel (9), Mitchell (13)
Front: Matt-Matt (2), Dominic (4)

9 km to go!!!

It's about time! The driver is getting hungrier by the minute.
As for me? I can't wait!
